Trust me, MoS is more impressive. TASM didn't spend not NEARLY as much as MoS to promote the film. TASM will end up keeping the 1st spot as most successful reboot. Spin the way you want to, but TASM is far more impressive than MoS, if anything because those who tried to spin TASM spin as bad or forgettable last year are doing their best to spin MoS numbers as something that looks great, when you can't have your cake and eat it too. Both are impressivel runs, but it seems that regardless Warner efforts, TASM will be keeping the 1st spot as the highest grossing reboot.

I haven't watch MoS yet, but I find it hard to believe that general audience prefer MoS over TASM. At the end of the day, the box office is speaking by itself. At the end of the day, the box office is speaking by itself. It is speaking by itself. Man of Steel comes of Superman returns, which did 391M and had bad reviews, and still manages to make nearly, or overtaking, The Amazing Spider-Man which comes from a trilogy that had all three movies over 750M WW and 330M DOM. It is speaking by itself indeed.
druv10
Not this shit again. Can we move on and talk about how impressive the MU and WWZ numbers are. What a tremendous run NYSM's having. This daily nonsense about MOS's getting old. Edited June 26, 2013 by druv10
filmnerdjamie
As a stand alone film (independent from the Spider-Man brand-name) and given the history of how reboots perform, Amazing Spider-Man's gross is great. As a Spider-Man film (given its brand-name and performances of the earlier versions) and against its projections/expectations, Amazing Spider-Man's gross is a disappointment. It's the same of saying that looking to Man of Steel box office numbers as a reboot, it's gross is good, but looking at the all the money and marketing involved, it's a disaster.
