redfirebird2008
Alice and DMC are not great...TDKR is just beyond logical....written like it was a grade 3 creative writing class." And then Batman lit the building on fire and his symbol showed up. It was so cool." TF3 has 2.5 hours of that kind of stuff.

Krissykins
So if Lone Ranger does do the $65-70m Variety just tweeted that it expects, it would probably finish with $140-150m?
A Marvel Fanboy
Sorry, but cant help to say it after seeing ED's signature multiple times a day. Why people think the Minions are cute ? Because: These little yellow Minions = Genital metaphor
filmnerdjamie
Doubt Lone Ranger gets that high this weekend.

Founder / Operator Shawn Robbins Posted July 3, 2013 Founder / Operator Share Posted July 3, 2013 (edited) So 30M+ is very possible today. $40m could even be on the table. $30m is virtually locked. Edited July 3, 2013 by ShawnMR
FTF
Even with 3D, IM3 still fails to reach THE DARK KNIGHT RISES' DOM box office, most likely due to Christopher Nolan's brilliant dramatic direction and far more memorable villains.Shit like this should warrant a temp ban.Anyway, really nice start for DM2, really curious to see what today's gross is. Would have to say with that $4.7m preview $30m is definitely in the cards and looking likely.

Founder / Operator Shawn Robbins Posted July 3, 2013 Founder / Operator Share Posted July 3, 2013 I'm also liking my sub-$50m five-day prediction for TLR right now. Still could see it being back-loaded, but with the early WOM/reviews, probably not.
CJohn
The problem with TLR is the budget. If it ends up doing 130-150M DOM it is a great number. I am not sure why they spent 250M on it.

Leyla
NYSM and TITE were the two movies that most likely got hit the hardest with midnights for DM2 and TLR. Also they'll probably take a big hit on TC. I still think they can hit those numbers though. Again their great counter programming so..Solid holds for the rest considering the Canada Day boost.Great start for DM2 BTW. 4.7 for a Tuesday? That looks really good for a family movie. we'll see how it goes form here still couldnt help but think how much they could have made without the screen # decreese Anyway I can still obsess over their OS numbers they have a long way to go decent # for LR actually so yay & I even havent seen DM1 prolly should go watch it )) Edited July 3, 2013 by Leyla

kayumanggi
Have just seen DM ll. Was mediocre. The first was better. Though the minions were hilarious. Enjoyed their parts especially near the end. Not sure about 'great' legs.
