I don't think everyone here's thinking sensibly. Ok someone obviously can't attack all 3,000+ theaters. But what about 1 or 2? That could easily be the loss of 30 or 40 lives all for the sake of one movie. When a threat is made it's more foolish to IGNORE it then to play the safe route and possibly save lives.

So should we just pull every movie from the lineup in the future because some douche makes a threat?

If it's someone with the ability to hack into a computer system, they have a bit more power then someone who just makes a random statement. And even then that could be dangerous because that random douchebag could do the next Aurora attack.

That's why cancelling the premiere was a good option.

This, not so much.

Now a computer literate marvelite knows they can stop theaters playing batman/superman if they want. hurray.

It was a dumb thing to say. but it would be pretty much bullshit if that's the reason she's fired. which she will be in a few months.

She's going to be fired because they're about to lose a bunch of money on a project she greenlit, one that also happened to air the company's dirty laundry all over the world.

I think any studio would've greenlit it, but sony are the ones who did. so yeah, heads will roll etc.
