The Interview | Limited Release on December 25, 2014

Recommended Posts

It's not the same disney that released little mermaid anymore, they are one of the biggest financial giants around. Sony isn't the only gaming studio, yet you really never here of Microsoft getting hacked in such a way. Sony is a weak studio that was in financial trouble, they were the most vulnerable of the major studios to a hack.

WTF man, comparing Microsoft (software-driven company) to SPE is lolworthy

Deadline can confirm that international audiences won’t get to see The Intervieweither.  Sony’s statement Wednesday that the studio was pulling the U.S. Christmas Day release of the Seth Rogen-James Franco picture did not explicitly mention the film’s international roll-out, which had been set for after the New Year.

Not to tempt fate, but theaters backing out of this film because NK said there would terrorist attacks, I mean, really?  What exactly is NK going to do?  Someone please tell me.

Well, as I stated in a previous post, if they didn't back out, then they might have seen a big decrease in attendance on one of the busiest days of the year.  That hurts every studio, every chain, every movie.  So while nothing was likely to happen, do you think everyone would have gone to the movies like normal with a terrorist threat looming.

What threat, exactly? Let's be realistic here. The State a Department said here was no evidence supporting any sort of upcoming action.

That's all it takes in the eyes of the public, isn't it?  Do you honestly believe that everyone would have been gone to the movies like normal?

Way more people would have seen The Interview than if this whole debacle hadn't occurred.

And no, North Korean threats don't hold water in the eyes of the public - NK is a laughing stock.

Next week was going to be pretty pathetic regardless. This news isn't going to make it look any better.

You just made Anna Kendrick cry.

Write them an angry email and hack them to show the public that most workers at movie theaters make minimum wage.

Ooh, America is getting viciously torn apart by the international media.

Worst. Precedent. Ever.

Now look at the amount of religious people who will inevitably be making threats to cancel the release of a film they'll find offensive.
