Indian Box Office Thread | Jawan overtakes Pathaan, becomes highest grossing Indian movie of 2023

Dhoom 3 is definitely better than CE or Krrish 3, so it deserves to take the record.Friday number seems to be 30 crore. Missed the OD record, but it would have been a surprise had it broken it considering Friday was a non-holiday. Still it came very close.Saturday should again get 30 crore, and Sunday 35 crore+, so there is a chance of 100 crore weekend.

Well many who saw it say its is really OTT and takes itself too seriously. Atleast CE was a comedy so you could believe the absurdity.

In my opinion, the fact that the movie takes itself seriously even while being over the top makes it a good movie. Amir Khan has given an excellent performance. Watch the movie and decide for yourself.

I have not watched CE, so cannot comment on that.

Posted ImageDhoom 3the action thriller that is also playing like gangbusters in India, is tallying up records in North America this weekend. The opening day estimate on the Bollywood film in 236 theaters is $1.075M and it is on track for a $3.5M three-day weekend. That marks the biggest opening ever for a Bollywood title in North America. Dhoom 3 now has the distinction of being the first Bollywood movie to do over $1M on its opening day. It also scored the highest opening gross for any Indian movie, surpassing the previous record holder, Disney‘s UTV love story Chennai Express (which grossed an estimated $745K for its Friday). On Dhoom‘s opening day, it had a per screen average of about $4,500 versus Chennai‘s roughly $3,800
