800 is a good target, but I still see it a bit tough. For the moment, I have it at about 760-780. Firedeep, what do you think will be the Chinese release date? it will be so bad as AUJ's? IMO, in order to get a good increase, China's gross should be quite higher than 50 million of the first part.

You are right. 714 million OS is small change... Other cool franchises still dream to do that amount.

I'll go with 750M. I think it'll drop in some markets but will increase overall. Can't really see 800M yet, but it's definitely doable if the movie delivers or just more exciting and less dragged than the first one.

My friends and I were really bored by the first movie... I think it will drop like -40% here.

How did The Hobbit do overall in Latin America?I think DoS will increase in Russia, and maybe China with a good release date. Can't see it doing any worse than AUJ in Japan, so probably flat or small increase.

I can't see more than a small bump over part 1, $740m, $750m, something around there.  Part 3 is the one where a big jump seems likely.

You can't imagine how little people think of the first movie here. Not only me, but all over the internet as well. Even I, a hardcore fan of Tolkien's book, am not excited for the next movie. And a 40% drop is not an overstatement considering real's fall in front of the dollar.

Did well. 18M here or so. I think it did, like, 65M on Latin America.
