zackzack
Gitesh Pandya @giteshpandya 6m Huge $103M intl opening wknd for #Godzilla, biggest of 2014. Towering $196.2M global launch. 3D share 51% both intl & dom. Top markets for 'Godzilla': U.K. - $10.4M, Russia - $9.1M, Mexico - $8.9M, Australia - $6.1M, France - $6.5M, Germany - $5.6M, Korea - $4.5M Biggest international opening, sure, OK, but Spidey 2 still holds the record for the largest international weekend $200M+ I was expecting $250M. Some markets are underwhelming. Legs won't be good for this one.

Rudolf
Does anyone kwnow , how much the 98 Godzilla made in Japan? I would not be too optimistic for that market.
Godzilla
Maybe it can match TF3 $50M in Japan? That should be the goal.

Fake
DOM looks to do 230-250m while current OS markets are looking good for 250-275m. So without China and Japan, Godzilla should do 500m+. It is tough to predict these two markets, but 100m combined looks reasonable. So 600m should happen unless it has terrible hold next weekend.

It had to rebuild a franchise from the ground up and there are people here who said this wouldn't even hit $400 million globally.
Godzilla
I've seen articles stating that Japan is actually looking forward to this Godzilla. So I think it has a great shot at grossing 50M<. $700M WW might happen.

I don't know whether they're gonna like the movie or not, but OW is gonna be good I think.
