MoS is the definition of an emotionally dead blockbuster. Just...insanely soulless where I was shocked. Pretty sub-par acting from everyone aside from Amy Adams and Diane Lane.

I mean...the trailer was crazy emotional and got me pumped.

"They will raise behind you...they will stumble...they will fall."

Fuck. Such a brilliant teaser that's a hundred times better than the film.

You know, I enjoyed watching MOS, so obviously I'm somewhat in the minority, but this is completely true.

(That being said, I don't feel particularly interested in watching it all again.)

TF3 had a much better 3rd act city destruction scene than The Avengers.  It also came out a year earlier so the Avengers' scene felt like kind of a rehash.

The destruction in TF3 was mindless and went on so long that it became numbing. It was just too much, too loud, too meaningless. I enjoyed the franchise (apart from 3/4 of ROTF) but Bay lost the plot in a major way.

THANK YOU GOD. Someone else sees it. I honestly thought I was going crazy when I got so bored in the final act of Avengers because I had seen it done twice in TF1 and TF3.

I prefer Avengers climax because I did care about the heroes till the climax of the movie so I felt much more involved when the set up paid off in that now famous circle shot. In TF3, 30 minutes in, I just gave up caring about whiny LaBeouf, Dr McDreamy shenanigans and last but least Pouty lips treating Megatron like a homely bitch. So the climax was just loud noise, Oh cool shot, loud noise.

(I did laugh when Optimus Prime got struck in cables for whatever reason through the climax to slow him down waiting his friends to release him even if he got a badass blade in the first place to do it himself).

I actually loved Man of Steel. I know it has its flaws, but I love it for some reason. Watched it at least 4 times by now =/
