If it did a low 60s number like say, 62, that'd be only 37 million of Friday business. Comparing tonight's sellouts with last night's, there looks to be more than 12 million in further gross, plus at least some decent business at matinees. I'd say the mid 60s is more realistic than the low 60s, even if its just splitting hairs.

people are making The Avengers comparison again. The original 67m prediction for Avengers happened way earlier in the day, like 1 pm. And people were noticing huge sell outs everywhere.

THG felt so much more buzzworthy to me in the last couple weeks before it opened in 2012.  It was like this 'have to see' property ... Catching Fire has simply just been there for me recently ... I sort of fell into the trap of assuming it had to do great based on what I'd read from people online.

This will still most likely out grossed all Twilight movies and your average Potter film, I fail to see how it's performing badly.
