They did in NYC. Although we're expecting a huge snow storm tonight, so who knows about Friday. They may only end up sending them back for 1 day.

7M seems high. Kids are going back to school on Thursday and Friday here in the US. 

 

But then Friday and Saturday jumps will be bigger so it'll be close to 300M, one way or the other.

Most elementary-high schools start monday, and colleges start over the next 2 weeks. I start Wednesday. Ive never heard of anyone going back to school Janurary 2nd.

In Colorado schools have never gone back January 2nd unless that's a Monday. Winter Break is always a full two weeks.

Not in the south, we never have. We've never gone back before January 5th. Where you are it may be different, but in many parts of the country kids dont go back on the 2nd. Thats a travel day for many people.

Just look at last year. The only movies that dropped under 50% on the 2nd were the ones that made under 2m on New Year's Day.
