Cars and Cars II made Disney a lot of $$$$. That's his main objective as division head of animation. Those two films sold more items for the products division that any other two films in Disney history.

Agreed. People give it so much shit but it is a very enjoyable film to watch and I had a blast as a 12 year old watching it in theaters.
