Fullbuster Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 (edited) An ordinary LEGO minifigure, mistakenly thought to be the extraordinary MasterBuilder, is recruited to join a quest to stop an evil LEGO tyrant from gluing the universe together. US release date : February 7th I'm not sure about its growth but I think it will surprise a lot of people, the potential is so huge. I don't see it under $700m WW. I would forecast : -$500m OS -$250m DOM Edited January 2, 2014 by Sonic Quote
Cosmonaut Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 More like $150m and $300m(DOM and OS), max. ~$10m in Russia. Quote
Heretic Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 Why in the world would it do 500m OS? PLEASE explain. Maybe 200m OS. If that. Quote
Fullbuster Posted January 2, 2014 Author Posted January 2, 2014 Why in the world would it do 500m OS? PLEASE explain. Maybe 200m OS. If that. Lego + A lot of fun + Batman + Star Wars + Superman...and so on...In a single movie? How could it fail? Why can't you see its potential? Quote
Heretic Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 It has potential for a nice sum. But 500m? No way in hell. Quote

IndustriousAngel Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 It has potential for a nice sum. But 500m? No way in hell. I'm with Heretic there - 500mil seems like a stretch. People forget how much money that really is, and it's not that easy to achieve. 300-400mil would be a nice success (and of course spawn an immediate sequel, let's face it ...) Quote
kaijukurt Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Well, I'm hoping for at least 250 million internationally. Quote
bapi Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 To be honest... Lego is quite huge in Europe so I'm very optimistic. 500M WW? Why not? 1 Quote
tonicjr Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 (edited) Even though I would like 500m os, I don't think it's likely. Even The Croods 420m os was already huge More like 370-450m os/220-270 dom = 590-720 ww Edited February 3, 2014 by tonicjr Quote
lolifofo Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 It's getting rave reviews so far. 100% tomatometer and 85 Metacritic rating! 1 Quote
FrozenFan626 Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 I don't especially want to root against this movie but with 1 billion in the balance for Frozen I kinda need this to not take off (which it probably will). I'll say 170 Dom and 350 OS. Quote

Fullbuster Posted February 4, 2014 Author Posted February 4, 2014 220-270 dom?.... Superman, Batman, Ninja Turtles, Statue of Liberty...In a single movie? You bet! Quote
Planodisney Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 (edited) This just has the feel of a movie that is going to take off. There is definite buzz building and so many people I know can't wait for it to open. Edited February 5, 2014 by Planodisney 1 Quote
