12 Years A Slave and Gravity are pretty much tied for #1. 

 

Captain Philips, American Hustle, and Wolf of Wall Street were good but not BP good. Disappointing and weak year for BP nominations imo.

I've only seen Gravity and AH. Gravity is a much better film.

 

AH was enjoyable, and I liked the acting performances, but it's not spectacular as a constructed whole. There are a number of other films I'd rank above it that didn't receive nominations.
