Second movie this Summer, with Nolan being likely the third, when last minute reviews are very good.

 

Seems like the strategy is changing and the "hiding a disaster" thing is not true anymore.

 

When you have a movie already strong in Sales, when the movie has surprises the hype becames bigger and bigger if you wait.

Interesting that it’s not a bit higher with such an incredible average rating out of the gate. Would be more typical for it to be in the 95-98% range. But obviously it has a lot of raves already.

Looks like both Barbie and Oppenheimer have secured best picture nominations. Feels like there's so many players at the Oscars this year a lot of great movies are undoubtedly going to be shut out. Not that it matters much anymore but it's a very competitive year. Between Joy Ride, MI7, Barbenheimer and Talk To Me that's 5 wide releases that are likely getting 90%+ on RT. How often does that happen in July? 

Edit: This may have aged poorly it was at 94% when I started typing now it's at 90%.

The fact She already on 2 Narnia movies is an hint She doesn't have obligations.

 

The reviews are saying the movie Is Total. She clearly said what She had to said about Barbie phenomenon and impact. Really can't see her doing it again.

From reactions (already from RT critics, even if not top) the 85%+ on RT is not a surprise for me.

More Is metacritic.

 

I was thinking something not divisive like Elvis but around dune, so 70-75.

I can't believe that after months of buildup and anticipation for these movies, both of the Barbenheimer pair were able to deliver on the hype. This weekend is gonna be one for the books
