JohnnyGossamer
... and again, and again, and again, and again.... I still think Pacino's work in Insomnia is the best work by an actor in any Nolan film to date. I love him in that flick. Now, the supporting cast, not including Williams, not so much.
#ED
I'll rephrase that. He usually has dull, sterile characters with no personality.
JohnnyGossamer
Not that it means anything (maybe?) but that's the worst first Monday drop for a big May opener, at least as far back as 1999 where I stopped looking. Even Wolverine didn't drop as high in '09. Could be misleading and it's only one day. But, I was just checking through past years myself and noticed the same. JohnnyGossamer
I might get in on 65% drop now You're getting crazy now. No way. I could even see 64%. But, not 65%. It's skewing toward families. It'll do great business Saturday and Sunday to soften the drop. Now Friday, well, Neighbors might double it up. On a separate note, I just now realized I crossed 1,000 posts. And, well, I'm 143 over. Spidey and Caps brought out the replier in me I guess. Feels good to be "Box Office Gold." Feels real, real good... CoolioD1
Pacino's performance in Insomnia is almost certainly the best in any Nolan flick to my mind. Swank's performance is probably the best female performance in any nolan flick, which is a little depressing.
mattmav45
LMAO. Is there any real doubt about the fudging that was done to keep the ASM2 drop below 80%? Sony executives are scrambled as fuck at the moment. IMO. As for Nolan, he can be a bit too methodical and mechanical in his film-making. That being said, hopefully Interstellar is good. DAR
I might try to avoid any trailers for Interstellar. Kind of want to go into this one fresh. As for Spidey, eh it's not the greatest number

tonytr87
The scene at the bar in TDKR alone makes her the best.

Pacino is the best actor in any of his films, with probably the most interesting role and he's at the top of his game in Insomnia - so not unexpected.

It aren't the actuals so it could still drop under the 80%, but only a chance of 1/1000 to do so, "You never know" shurly not with TASM....
