Seeing how the movie looks like it flopped. Do you think they will even attempt a reboot 10 years from now or is the franchise completely dead now?

They could try to reboot the tv series. That should work.

At this point. The best thing for the show would be for it go away for some time. Then return down the road. Basicly kind of like Voltron,He-Man,and other shows. That way when it did return. People will actually have affection for it.

the show is re-chared from the movie, since most super hero movies have a 59% drop, PR is fine,

power rangers made $50,000,000 in 7 days and cost $100,000,000 to make

It needs at least $250M to break even, it might not make it.

I thought it already made most of its budget back through pre-sales?

It did. Lionsgate only has to cover 25% of the budget and whatever they spent on P&A (which I hear was around $30 million). They don't get international ticket money other than from the UK, but overseas numbers are important insofar as they'd need to convince foreign studios to pay up again for a sequel. I don't think we as outsiders can really nail down a "magic number" where the movie is a success.

Yeah the odds aren't in it's favor right now. Best hope is South Korea,Japan, and China.

No, the odds are in favor of that other Lionsgate franchise, which may end up with the green light for a prequel sooner rather than later.  Unless the remaining international markets really outperforms, Lionsgate may consider going back to The Hunger Games instead of a Power Rangers sequel.

New idea: the Ranger teens get reaped for the Hunger Games and kill all the other kids with their superpowers.

Seeing how the last hope for it died tonight. Here the question... Is it time the series go bye bye as well?

Den of Geek said Bandai America helped create the designs for the newest sentai series, Kyuranger, a zodiac/constellation themed show.  So, after Super Ninja Steel in 2018, the TV show should continue in some form, using that sentai as its source footage.

The bigger question may be: will the TV show still be airing on Nickelodeon in 2019?  I mean, the next negotiations between Saban and Nickelodeon will be fascinating, as each one can point to the other's recent movie at the box office: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows for Nickelodeon, and of course, this movie for Saban.  And the 2012 TMNT animated series will be ending soon, to be replaced with another version, while Power Rangers does that all the time.  I guess if Nickelodeon does not want the show anymore, they could take a similar path that Miraculous Ladybug did and move to Netflix.
