Weekend Numbers (May 9-11) Neighbors 51.1 ASM2 37.2

I find it weird that everyone reported something except Deadline. Makes me think there are no real numbers out there. Everybody is reporting the same thing.

Deadline's busy with the TV renewals and pickups (the upfronts).

Last year on Mother's Day Sunday, some movies held very well. Top 10:

Except IM3 all holdovers showed better Sunday hold than in the previous weekend.

(Unfortunately for TASM2, IM3 might be the closes comparison  :P )

Sunday drop (Previous week Sunday drop)

IM3 -35.2% (-30.9%)

Gatsby -26.3% (new)

Tyler Perry -3% (new)

Pain & Gain -27.6% (-33.3%)

42 -23.6% (-44.5%)

Croods -19.5% (-38.7%)

Oblivion -27.6% (-43.2%)

Big Wedding -1.2% (-42.9%)

Mud -23.2% (-38.8%)

Oz -45.1% (-65.9%)

yeah, i updated the post. IM3 was the only one in top 10 that did not really benefit. TASM2 is likely to behave like it.

So I guess Sony is putting together that press release for biggest Friday increase since the year 2004. Want to hear something solid on Neighbors too. I guess we'll to wait until around 10pm or so.

It would be helpful to have the pg # on the thread of when the update was posted.

I'm back tracking like crazy trying to find where/who posted it.

Yeah I know. The thread starter used to update the first page. But I guess that's now a thing of the past.

^ Speaking of which, finally found it (pg. 10)

From the same THR article.

"Sony's Spider-Man sequel, now in its second weekend in theaters, is on track to earn around $40 million this weekend. The Andrew Garfield-starring franchise film, which grossed $96.1 million in North America last weekend and has collected north of $450 million globally, will continue to do strong business overseas this weekend."

Thanks E
