Can we just appreciate the fact that The LEGO Movie had a higher daily PTA yesterday than Godzilla, AMWTDITW, TASM2, Neighbors, and grossed more than Heaven is for Real and The Other Woman?

Dat fudge effect.

TF4 needs a $120-125 million OW to have a realistic shot at $300 million. Right now it is tracking slightly above $100 million.

The Avengers was tracking at $140-$150m at this point. T4 will likely go significantly higher than $100m.

Looks like Malef got clobbered (no mention of it): http://variety.com/2014/film/news/box-office-22-jump-street-leads-how-to-train-your-dragon-2-in-early-estimates-1201220267/

And it's becoming increasingly obv that Dragon won't hit 60 but let's wait and see...

this will be a fun watch

Last week’s champ “The Fault in Our Stars” is neck-and-neck with Tom Cruise’s big-budget holdover “Edge of Tomorrow” for third place with $16 million each.

If Transformers makes it to 300 million, it's because of Nicola Peltz.

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad

Don't underestimate the Man in Black from LOST effect

$16m-ish for FIOS....? ouch, that's a nasty drop.

That was expected though. If any movie this summer was going to be crazy crazy frontloaded, it was definitely going to be the adaptation of a very popular YA book in which the opening weekend audience was 80% female and 80% under 25.
