Penny Dreadful is dragging its feet and lacks urgency, but Eva Green makes it all worth it. She is a tremendous performer, with great screen presence.

So the "Blame Tele" BSG question got really interesting with TLAM2's underperformance. Most people seem to have picked TLAM2 as the answer for that.

Enjoyable Sunday afternoon, I just went into the logistics of time regarding how much Bruce Wayne had to get back to Gotham.

Ever since England got knocked out, I just can't feel the hype for the WC anymore...

Thoughts:

 

Fine for Think Like a Man Too, even though it clearly didn't gain any audience. A very muted opening for Jersey Boys but that had to be a given.

 

Expected drops for the Jump Street and Dragon sequels. Both appear to be on track for at least $160M each.

 

Very strong holds for Maleficent (especially), Edge of Tomorrow, and X-Men. The Fault In Our Stars is starting to stabilize after last weekend's predictable plunge. Glad to see Chef is still chugging along, everyone should go see it if they haven't.

 

And straight-up hellish for The Rover. An $800 PTA, yikes.
