I don't consider either blockbusters.

The only two movies I'll call a blockbuster this year are Cap and Lego.

You don't consider DOFP to be a blockbuster, I mean it is the highest grossing film worldwide so far of the year.

I would also add Maleficent. It's 585m with a lot of life left(8.3m dom weekend and 16m os weekend. Japan, final market, next weekend. 650m+ I guess.)

I'm speaking domestically. Internationally DOFP is kicking all kinds of ass.

I'll let DOFP slide as a blockbuster domestically because I like it more than anything else I've seen this ye- I mean, because of the lack of IMAX.  :P

You can't go wrong with IMAX  :D.

They saved all their fudging power for indiana jones a few weeks later

oh shit. never even noticed that.

I blame the 'berg. does he still have his name on these transformers movies? he can afford to lose a million or two to get it there.

But let's face it, the age of blockbusters is over :(

I'll remember you said what when Mockingjay opens, then Age of Ultron and, oh, of course SW:ep.7. Those are just short term.

No, the blockbluster still lives and will live on as long as demand=quality

so now the other studios are crying because they claim it was less than what paramount said it was. Shame on the other studios. Every single one of them has lied about their numbers at one point or another. Go cry me a f****** River. This is awesome and I love it. As I mentioned in the estimates thread I asked Mario Kassar about this exact thing on Facebook and he replied to me that all studios fudge their numbers within a couple of million and it happens all the time and it's really nothing to worry about. So if Mario Kassar super producer says that the rest of the studios should just shut the f*** up.

You gotta have faith, darkelf. Not in what these movies are, but in what Ninja Turtles can be
