OS markets seem to save far more films than deserve it, but that aside I think the film industry is definitely in the worst creative rut its ever been in.

If I were the head of a studio I would be making sequels to popular movies instead of trying to come up with a dozen unique, one-hit wonders every year. The latter is far riskier and more difficult than surviving off of popular franchises.

EoT and DOFP's theater averages increased over last Friday :)

$100m is actually looking pretty good for Edge. It should essentially be at $91m through Sunday. I see it holding up well throughout the week and next weekend.

WB had 2 tasks right now - EoT over 100, Godzilla over 200

So TF4 will probably do 10.6+16+12 = 38-39m weekend.EoT looking to drop only 30% against TF4. Not bad. Not bad at all.

even though I like EOT it is clear that another WB opening has a lot to do with why it is holding extremely well.
