I'm surprised it happened on a Monday, usually these things happen about 5pm on Friday (less chance for someone to make a big scene and/or screw up the vibe for everyone else who's working).Seems very harsh and it feels like already kicking someone while theyre down, but it is their company so what can you do? As long as you get your stuff back I guess theres no issue, but it just seems extremely rude to me, but again they did employ you in the first place. Yeah, it's a preemptive strike to stop possible bad or disruptive behaviour or in some cases messing up or taking company property/info. That it's a brutal, rude dehumanizing action by the company is just seen as business. “Know your place. Accept your place.
