Can we have a thread for movies that get moved. It seems to be happening a lot, even a year before it release date, it's getting moved around that you lose track of it.

The comic con footage wowed a lot of people. WB showed a new trailer that was way, way more epic than what we have seen so far.

The only person I can think of that probably had it up there is Kal. Of course with the way he was pushing it I'd think he predicted north of 200.

That's still closer to possible domestic take than what everyone else predicted.

Sin city two was originally projected over 20m OW, I'm not saying dolphin tale 2 won't hit around 18m, but it does not have a lock on that weekend

Kal had predictions up in the 90m range, he way overshot. Sure he did predict a breakout, both those of us predicting in the mid 40s were closer than him

No surprise in SC. Didnt see any real marketing until a week before, and they did nothing to hook people other than the "look! black and white in 2014!" They were too bullish and thought the fanbase got bigger from 2005 and was gonna automatically show, instead if investing in real exposure. WTGST was never gonna be huge. Also lacked in marketing and is just meant as a soft feel good film. Looked meant to attract some HS football players (like my brother) but not much else.IIS could have done a little better. I think it had more potential. Saw a good amount of tv spots, but WB could have made them stick out more and couldve used more social media adverts. Didnt see any. Either way, this is still the best August 4th weekend since 2009. Just $4 million would have pushed it to biggest of all time. This August still sets a blazing pace and will be the biggest of all time by a mile. Success.
