hasanahmad
It's not going to be unlocked. I'll ask baumer If you speak in relative terms of od, ow and reviews it deserves to be open relative to past 2 movies Edited November 23, 2014 by Hasan Ahmad

Dementeleus
I'll ask baumer If you speak in relative terms of od, ow and reviews it deserves to be open relative to past 2 movies We're talking about a movie that might only gross 750m WW instead of 850m WW, off a budget lower than any of the other films in the top 10 this year. It's a giant money-maker, even if it's not quite as big a money-maker as the last one. If anything, the IS WWW thread shows how pointless they are, especially after opening weekend.
redfirebird2008
Catching Fire had roughly a 2.687 multiplier. Matching that, with a 125 OW Mockingjay gets to 335.875 million. CF had a 3.0 when you take out previews (399.4/132.75). With a 3.0 excluding previews for MJ1, you end up with a 341 total after adding the previews back in at the end. You can't really treat previews/midnights in comparison to final gross the way you can to the opening weekend spread. It's part of the overall upfront demand no matter how you slice it. The focus here is domestic gross in this thread no? There have been many movies which have had a www thread ignoring www numbers.

water
in all seriousness even with you guys' pessimistic expectations, ~75% audience retention is great when the audience it was trying to retain was so huge. but i think it will be leggier than people expect. and everyone is conveniently ignoring the os increase.
