I just realised Insidious Chapter 3 comes out the weekend after this one! Didnt realise it was so close to Poltergeist!

Any predictions?

I'm thinking $24m/$52m

I was sure It would drop, but remember PA? The second movie was also not loved as the first one but the third movie still being the biggest success of the franchise! Maybe the same can happen again? Especially because I3 is a prequel too..

Update:

Poltergeist seems to be heading to a decent Worldwide total.

Watched a movie called Horsehead. Kind of like an artsy-fartsy version of A Nightmare on Elm Street, but instead of Freddy there's a dude with a horse head. Interesting but not always successful; a lot of times the weirdness of it doesn't feel organic, rather like the director is trying to be artsy for the sake of being artsy.

See I don't think there's much buzz for Insidious 3. I don't think it's opening weekend will go over $25m.

Blumhouse has saved The Green Inferno, will go wide on September 25th. Eli Roth directs.
