When has the Best Picture winner ever been the best film of the year?

 

American Beauty and The Hurt Locker are the only ones I can think of in my lifetime. RotK too because that was a weak ass year.

Oh, I didn't realise Maggie Smith won an Oscar. Anyway as said above, they are minor roles

 

McGonagall has a pretty good-sized role in DH: Part 2.

I look forward for Birdman being hated on relentlessly for the next few years as the new Shakespeare in Love. I'll lead the charge

I kinda hated it.   I guess actors love it since it's about them not getting enough love an admiration.

 

Plus...I hate drum solos.   And hour and half drum solo was very irritating to me.
