Confused about some of the hate Imitation Game gets, you can say it has holes & uneven in parts but I doubt you'll get a consensus to say it was a bad film. Betting odds actually put it in 4th place (distantly behind AS), so consensus is fairly strong.

I'm not saying they're is anything wrong with picking ( with lack of a better term) “Oscar Type films." This films very well may (and probably do) desever their norms. But say, was Imitation Game really a better movie than Dawn of the planet of the Apes? Was Selma better than Interstellar?

Dawn was a very good film and it by being nominated in the technical categories it was noticed.

Look for me right now the two best films I saw received one nomination total, it is what it is.

I can't really remember it from the movie. Grand Budapest and Interstellar would be good winners. Imitation Game's music also faded away from memory.
