Gitesh says audience buzz is mixed?  Umm, no.  A 53% Flixster score on the first day of release...which will be dropping throughout the next 7 days is not a "mixed" audience score.  Audiences on average give a movie a 70% approval on Flixster.  Anything hovering around 50% is a terrible audience score.

Friend of mine who is a huge book fan (and this was by far her most awaited movie) watched it today, she seemed almost let down by the movie. The sex scenes are pretty tame apparently and Dornan is pretty much PG13 in terms of nudity.

Kingsman is over performing because all the boyfriends that got dragged to 50 Shades forced their girlfriends to see Kingsman immediately afterwards.

 

That would imply that Fifty Shades's audience is actually more then 1 / 4th male.

I know SW opening day won't hit 80 mill, it's December.  But I was just going the opposite direction.  50 Shades has 0 chance of having a bigger OW than SW does.

 

Yup and anyone who actually thought that Fifty Shades would outgross Star Wars opening weekend was simply being overenthusiastic.
