Hot Tub Time Machine 2 is barely going to make double the theatrical gross of The Interview (the movie that forced Hot Tub 2 to away from Christmas Day to avoid getting slaughtered by before a series of bizarre events engulfed its wide theatrical release). lol.

Universal being a little hopeful about that Sunday number?

Universal Focus is expecting Fifty Shades of Grey to come in lower than what we’ve been predicting, with $23.2M in its second weekend, down 73% for a running 10-day domestic cume of $130.1M. Revised Friday per the studio is $8.02M with a +12% increase on Saturday to $8.955M. Sunday is estimated to come in at $6.268M.

any reason Spongebob had such a harsh drop despite no family competition?

I think it's because it has a sizable young adult/early 20s audience who saw it for Valentine's Day instead of 50 Shades which is why last weeks Saturday was so big and hence a bigger drop.  It had a 38% Fri-Fri drop but a 50% Sat- Sat drop.
