This Home OW doesn t change much, DWA is still in a dire situation and they need something way bigger than this to start seeing rainbows again.

Expectations trick the mind.

The studio has already suffered tons of lay offs and abandonned projects.

As I've mentioned, they cannot afford to be complacent even with Home off to a great start. If KFP3 and Trolls underperform next year then it's back to square one.

Animation or films with both live action and animation seem to be doing quite well this year although that shouldn't be a sign that studios should release more than 1-2 films a year.

The norm around here is to pile on DWA but since that isn't possible (at least today) then let's pile on the cast (Rihanna, JLo or Parson...) because that'll set things straight....

If anyone here actually sees the movie theyd see Jim Parsons actually nailed his character, and he wasnt annoying. And Rihanna wasnt bad. Her character is actually Carribean, not African American. And JLo is barely in it, definately not enought to complain about. She sounded like a normal woman.

I like Home just fine, I didn't think it would breakout this big and I was worried this would flop as well but glad it did not. It's not really bad, its passable kiddie entertainment

 

Lol at the Sheldon and TBBT hate but oh well it's typical Internet. Comedy is subjective anyway. Online crowd questions why Modern Family and TBBT always get nominated and I don't see why award giving bodies classify shows such as Girls, House of Lies, Nurse Jackie and Orange is the new Black as "comedies". But yeah those are "smart and edgy" shows

April seems completely empty, there s Fast 7 and then, you have to wait May 1 st and Avengers then summer overcrowded schedule begins.

 

Yeah the last 2 weeks of April could be dull in the box office

 

Glad though here in the Philippines we will Avengers on April 22 and it's summer time here so that's a really great date

Wow, Get Hard was limp. Not good, but I think part of it was how uncomfortable I felt in the theatre. I swear to god, my friend and I just have been some of the only people in the theatre who were not high or drunk. There was this one woman who was screaming stuff out in the middle of the movie, and that was pretty funny.

In other news, one of the women that works there told me that the management have been talking about me, and say they want me working there! :)

I love Jim Parsons in The Big Bang Theory, but watching that show, he's one of seven main characters. Here, he is talking all the time, and it's only when you are subjected to 90 minutes of him talking that you realise just how wearing it is to listen to him. It doesn't help that his character's English is hideous. The joke wore off after 3 seconds and it's annoying, nay, painful to listen to.

 

Rihanna is awful, and her inability to act was quite jarring at times. JLo is clearly terrible, I couldn't make out what she was saying or what accent she was trying to do, but fortunately she's only in the film for a few minutes.

Well I didnt fell the same. I wasnt expecting any Oscar performance. I liked the cast and I couldnt think of anyone more fitting as Rihannas character. Q-Tip Wallis? Halle Berry? No thanks. And JLo wasnt trying any accent...shes Puerto Rican. Thats how she talks.

So I got a new job recently but before I got this job I was waiting for over a month to hear back about an interview I had gone on at another company, which I had also interviewed at in October and got rejected then (so this was the second job they called me in to interview for). I found out that earlier this week that the hiring manager was asking about me if I was still looking because the woman she ended up offering the job to rejected it. When she found out that I got another opportunity in the meantime she was all upset. This is the best kind of schadenfreude, lol suck my balls bitch, you wasted 4 months of my life, hope you never find anyone for the role.
