Someone hasn't watched The Edge of Seventeen.

I wouldn't even say that it's a comedy. Even the "funny" scenes are pretty dark and sad overall. But I agree that she is great in that movie.

This is getting great reviews from the looks of it but I still don't know what to predict for it box office wise. Having said that, to me this movie is more about getting the Transformers films back into the good graces of the GA and I think it's going to do that. So regardless of where it winds up box office wise, they have successfully rebooted the franchise (imo) and that's what matters.

I like that the Amblin type of movie is making a low key comeback. The House with a Clock in Its Walls was no classic but it was a fun throwback.

I would LOVE to see more Amblin-esque movies. Hell, even IT had a lot of those vibes.

It sounds like all I need to see out of this movie is the first 10 or so minutes with the G1 stuff and I can skip the rest :P

I'll probably skip this in the theaters, but hopefully when I see it, it will be fun enough :)

The Critics Choice website has Aquaman at 82/100. IT has Bumblebee at 70/100

Those are just the first critics who post their score though, so it is always hard to take anything from it early.

Also: MPR at 85/100, Vice at 78/100.

We still take Critics Choice seriously? lol okay

Why wouldn't "we"? Like RT or Metacritic, it just aggregates a bunch of critics reviews. All are highly correlated in the end. The only problem is that people look at CC too early when scores are not settled.

I thought they were known for being unreliable, at least very very early before reviews come out. I remember something like Coco had a bad CC score before reviews dropped out. Could be misremembering things though.

Big issue with CC is it doesn't tell you how many it's counted so far
