Looks like a finish around 90-92M for Tomorrowland. Didn't get the family movie legs either.

Why would kids care about it? That movies has no target audience. It is crap.

Yeah, Tomorrowland ended up stuck in that grey area where it wasn't sure what audience it was aiming for, and this is the result. The movie itself being not very good isn't helping matters either.

If Disney tried for it to be a family movie, they failed miserably because it would be an awful movie for a parent, kid, whoever to watch it.

No on in their right mind would have their family watch this junk, especially multiple times.

The joys of mystery box marketing without actually having any mystery to unbox.

I was kinda wondering if Disney would try and push this over $100m.

There is sometimes a case to be made for it internally if nothing else. Disney can tell it's board members we had 'x' films crack $100m. That still means something in those circles at times. Clooney's people would also probably like that.

Thank Tammy. Taht movie really soured many people wanting to rush back. Hopefully WOM will turn that wait and see into a must go.

Tammy had a 4x multiplier.  Terrible reviews but the audience seemed to like it.

A similar multiplier gets this to $120m and it could be better.

There was no mystery box. The movie had nothing to show. All the money shots are in the trailer.

That's the point though, they played up everything in the trailers like there was a major mystery and once they get to Tomorrowland there will be so many wonders for us to experience in IMAX.

Then it turns out Tomorrowland is basically an abandoned ghost town.

It opened with only $18M. Legs were good yes, but the total and the quality were still far below McCarthys usual. Im blaming Tammy.

Edit: Tammy opened on a Wednesay, so no, legs weren't that great, considering it pulled a 33M 5-day.

Exactly. When they reach Tomorrowland there are like what? 20 minutes left if that? And the mystery is absurd. Don't get me started on that. Dumbest shit ever.
