Much more realistic than those around 20M we saw on box office pro for a while imo, look like good tracking start a full month before the last marketing week for a low strength IP movie.

I imagine that leave anything between 30 and 50m possible ?

I like that the POV is from the side of the water beast. Horror from water is of a more quiet, chilly type compared to that on land which is loud and chaotic.

Hope it's a much better movie then San Andreas

It'll be hard for it not to be. San Andreas was just Emmerichcore porn. Which is.... entertaining as far as CGI spectacle goes, but by no means anything less than completely stupid and often unaware of being completely stupid when it tries to shoehorn attempts at characters, subplots and emotionally driven scripts, and fails miserably. Independence Day being the one exception (although I hear good things about Stargate, which I haven't seen).

At least this looks like it has kind of a story, and a main character that isn't kiiiiiind of an idiot.
