isn't it obvious what happened. Too many adult targeted films coming out in such a short period of time. September and October.

Yeah but The Martian and The Intern were the only ones that really put out strong performances. You would this k That Steve Jobs would be able to pull in some audience

I think PA5 could have done $15m+ had it gotten a proper release. Paramount screwed it over with the VOD nonsense and theaters reacted appropriately.

Last Witch Hunter always looked terrible and I don't know why people thought Diesel's name would save it. Did Babylon A.D teach us nothing?

Jobs probably could have used better reviews (not to say its current reviews aren't very strong but it's not Social Network-level) and a better release strategy to overcome it's not all that exciting subject matter.

That shit deserves the title of biggest flop of year way more than FF

FF is plenty deserving and receives extra historical flop points for tanking a series that formerly made money that should have made more if it was handled semi competently, throwing a monkey wrench into the planned Fox Universe, and all the extreme behind the scenes WTFery coming to light in a truly glorious and entertaining way.

I thinkMarvel is pretty fanatic about their own property when they kill off FF in comic book. That rattled some people's nerves working on the project, maybe?

Some of them might think that Fox should just give up the property and return it to its rightful owner.....

To put Jobs' shit performance in perspective, its wide release per screen average of $2,700 will be less than:

Sicario, The Intern, Everest, A Walk in the Woods, UNCLE, Fantastic Four, The Gift (wow), Ricki and the Flash, Vacation (ouch), Southpaw, Paper Towns...

ALOHA.
