Fanboy Wars Thread: Personal Attacks not allowed | With Digital Fur Technology

Lol I was talking about it’s domestic front. A lot of spilled digital ink for something I wasn’t even talking about.

Even domestically, it "only" did 325M. And if it manages a fresh RT score, then I don't see SS2 plunging all that much on the domestic front either, provided they bring back and emphasize some elements that clicked well with their respective demos (by which I also include the Top 40 artist heavy soundtrack which some people can turn their noses up at but no doubt did a lot to drum up a lot of hype for the first film among youngsters).

Won't they still hate Avatar 2 doing well now that it's under Disney?

I don't know if you guys knows this but superhero movies are based on comic books. These comic book have been at wars for decades.

I wonder if any of these mega fans have ever thought to themselves... "hmm maybe I should read the comic"

I can't tell with Jimbo's trolling, but I guess this is the right place to ask.

What is that supposed to mean?

I love Avatar and don't like the MCU films, they're not for me. It's only natural I point out how much more Avatar made in the fanboy wars thread of the box office theory forums.

@IronJimbo Gotta say that I'm curious about one thing, mate: I think we all know what you think of Titanic and Avatar, but what do you think of the other James Cameron works pre-Titanic?

It's hard not to be annoyed by the smugness surrounding Cameron and his fans, but I'll give him this: Terminator 2 is imo the greatest action movie ever made, and Aliens and T1 are up there too. True Lies is also very good, and even The Abyss is fun too. Curiously, I think his 2 billion makers are actually his two weaker films.

If you can find a toy store that STILL sells these two blue creatures or get me someone that can tell me the names of these two characters, I might agree with you.

I literally have never heard Avatar come up in conversations other than people asking why the fuck they're even making 4 sequels.

All his movies are great, he's hit 7/7. Let me do a little jimbo review for each of them.. give me some time.

The DC films are in a quiet period currently – Warners is only releasing Aquaman in 2018 and Shazam! is the only movie in production – that is expected to soon change. Wonder Woman 2 is heading into the casting stage and will be the next movie to shoot. Insiders say the next wave will likely include the Flash film and Batgirl, among others.

The fact that SS2 is still happening is just the saddest news

I honestly can not say I've seen a worse CBM than SS , people who wrote, produced and directed that should have their movie making privileges revoked

The script was so bad Even Viola Davis looked like she could not act , VIOLA FUCKING DAVIS

I've not seen SS, but I can't imagine how it could possibly be worse than JL.

DC fans hang in there, the Marvel fans maybe acting smug right now, but you can just leave it to Jim to show them their place (and yours)

For a rabid Cameron fanboy to accuse anybody else of being smug is the funniest thing ever.

" I think it is too late for that movie." It is never too late. We still got around 10 months to FIX the movie. JL's reshoots happened around 4 months before the movie was out !

And look how the JL reshoots saved the film....

Margot Robbie and Will are busy people, brah. Also, rushing it would have done more harm than good. I like the rumored new plan of including The Rock in it. Could be a breakout in China especially if it gets a release there.

Robbie has now established herself as a serous actess with "I,Tonya" and the offers are pouring in.

Will Smith, not quite so much. He ain't anywhere near what he used to me.

Let's put it this way:I think he needed SS more then SS needed him.

Marvel fans are smug! They love laughing at Justice League... open your eyes dudalb! They are loving rubbing it into DC fans that BP has already made more.

Now to me, thats the funniest thing in the world, superhero fans being smug about their ridiculously commercialised product beating this other cash grab.. all while making <0.5A :hahaha:

It might be fun to speculate about The Mouse buying DC, but it very unilikely..it is one of Warner's main assets.

Now cooperating with Warners, in a couple of years, on a crossover film is a different story...

DC makes far too money for WB for them to even consider it, it's not just films, it's TV, licensing and the comics themselves Batman alone in 2013 made $500m in merchandise sales and the TV side is very successful.

I think Smith helped the O/S numbers quite a bit.

And as well as I Tonya has done it won't end up with Concussion or Collateral Beauty numbers domestically... and Robbie's presence did nothing for the dramas Z is For Zachariah  or Goodbye Christopher Robin.
