2015-2016 GOLDEN GLOBES: Official Discussion Thread

Go Mad Max!!! It won't happen, but I would legitimately be thrilled to see Spy take the Comedy/Musical category. Easily my fav out of those films.

Lmao at Ruffalo getting nominated, but for Infinite Polar Bear and not Spotlight.

Why are Vikander and Mara both in the lead category? Hope that doesn't happen at the Oscars.

So then will they be competing in that category at the Oscars? Cause things are going to get ugly if so.

No, Mara and Vikander are being pushed Supporting at the Oscars and that is where thwy will get nominated (95% chance). However the Globes have the final say on category placement and they rejected Mara and Vikander from being in Supporting.

Which means Vikander's Ex Machina performance will get shut out due to the no double acting nom rule (plus vote splitting, etc).

At first I thought about predicting Steve Carell for Comedy Actor, but then I remembered Christian Bale was put in lead as well. There's going to be a vote split that leads to a Damon win IMO.
