Give it a 5% drop on Wednesday for 35 mill 

Then give it a 35% drop on Thursday for 23.5 mill

 

Then give it a 90% bump on Christmas Day for 44.5 mill

Then a 20% drop on the 27th for 41 mill

 

That's a 45% drop from a ridiculous opening weekend.  

 

It also gives it 520 mill after frikkin Christmas Day.

Very conservative, indeed and it shows what kind of crazy opening it had . It has a legitimate shot at 550M after the weekend and 700M+ following weekend. Avatar is done deal and as long as it doesn't collapse after New Year 1B is a legit possibility.

Can I attempt to settle this?

 

When deciding who holds the record for Friday you include Thursday previews.

 

But for predicting Saturdays it's helpful to separate Thursday's previews, at least temporarily.

 

(I hate seeing Redfirebird and Baumer fight, they're both cool peeps)

Rth doesn't care about us melting down or not, lol. These extrapolations are harder than you might expect -- every so often he'll lift the veil a little and we get a sense of how much the numbers are shifting. It's never a case of just getting a total from early in the day and predicting it'll make a certain additional percentage from that. 

 

Btw, it'll drop more than 10% tomorrow. I hope you guys are ready for *that* roller coaster. :)
