Generally china market has been quite predictable looking at trends. I will let @POTUS chime in on where passengers will end based on current number. I would have thought this was the kind of epic spectacle movie China would like. On the other hand, I only have the most superficial knowledge of the China box office. If Passengers doesn't do well, I'd be interested to hear opinions on why. It seems to be skewing a bit over 25 in age for viewers in other countries. Does that make a difference? I think older people in the US don't pre-buy tickets as much as younger people do.
