XMA number is pretty decent without Wolverine and original cast leading the movie. Alice 2 though... lol

But Disney has 4 movies in top 10! Pretty astonishing

I'm also surprised by all the steeper drops than expected. Piracy...?

why are people acting like doing a whole recast/reboot again would help the X-Men series? Best thing to do is just slash the budgets. X-Men DOFP didn't look like 200m + film and neither does Apocaylpse

Looking at the MD weekends since 2011, apart from in 2013 the post-MD weekend movie had a much better run at the box office than the MD weekend movie, and much much better legs as well.

 

2015 - Tomorrowland vs San Andreas

2014 - DOFP vs Maleficent

2013 - Furious 6 was the MD weekend release, but NYSM still beat out Hangover 3 and had great legs

2012 - MIB3 vs SWATH

2011 - Hangover Part 2 and KFP2 vs X-Men: First Class (no one expected an X-Men movie to be as leggy as First Class ended up being, and KFP2 had some bad legs for an animated movie)

 

In short, TMNT2 is coming to save the summer.

It's very commonplace for the post-MD movie to have better legs actually.

 

Get Him to the Greek had better legs than Sex and the City 2 and Prince of Persia. Same with Knocked Up and Pirates 3, and The Break-Up and X3.
