yeah Sully should do well. All Mag7 has is Denzel, he's obviously a solid draw but his movies mostly gross between 60 and 100 M.

That's actually not too bad for X-Men. Not the 70% drop some predicted.

I honestly didn't think it was going to drop that big. It's still not doing all that good mind you.

I'm liking that X-men performance.

I didn't at all think it was as bad as it was made out to be.

I have zero interest in the new TMNT series. And I'm a big Turtles fan. I look forward to watching Popstar, the trailers sucked me in. Unfortunately I had no idea the movie even existed until earlier this week.

It's a weak performance for X men. Might not reach 160

Mag7 has Pratt.  It might also be good!

Pizzaman wrote the script, so I am expecting characters to speak in long winding monologues which make no sense but sound profound.

OH FFS

How is this offensive...

The diversity progressive types have a strong women in a lead going against a bad villain like a male hero...

How is The Magnificent Seven a "guaranteed hit"? It's a western...

Storks should do OK, I forgot about Sully oops. Don't see any reason why Deepwater Horizon should do well. It's not got anything going for it, and has several things against it (sea-disaster movies, public hostility towards the events)

For Deepwater Horizon, it's got Peter Berg and Mark Wahlberg teaming up again, right after Lone Survivor performed well, and the marketing seems to be pretty effective in interesting Middle America with their whole family vibe and survivor angle. I can see it doing around Lone Survivor numbers, maybe lower.

WHAT AN AMAZING JUNE START GUYS!!!!

Now, where is the real main event? Still 4 hours to go until Copa America 2016 begins? And a week for the UEFA Euro 2016?!?! Goddamit.

According to early Friday returns, the family friendly sequel looks to earn $10 million on Friday from 3,701 theater for a domestic debut in the $27 million-$30 million range. In August 2014, the first installment in the revitalized TMNT franchise earned $65.6 million on its way to grossing $493.2 million worldwide.

Friday's take includes $2 million in Thursday night views. The Paramount and Nickelodeon Movies film cost $135 million and was produced by Michael Bay's Platinum Dunes.

X-Men: Apocalypse is on course to gross $8 million on Friday

So in other words XA is taking in as much as TMNT Friday, if you don't count Thursday.  And I remember Alice numbers were adjusted down, and XAs barely were last weekend (in the decimal place.)  But since they will count Thursday previews with TMNT I guess I'll only get personal satisfaction if XA actually beets TMNT Fri,Sat,Sun.

Popstar is getting better reviews than I thought. Still, it's hard for me to feel bad for those numbers when I couldn't watch a YouTube video the past month without being forced to watch the same two or three 15-second spots that got outrageously annoying and repetitive.

Patriots' Day will be the Lone Survivor of the year, not Deepwater Horizon.

The Deepwater Horizon trailer actually got negative reactions at my BvS showing. It wasn't booed like Hardcore Henry was but a negative reaction is something of note when people are happy with most trailers.

June is going to take a huge drop off from last year.July should do a bit better and August is going to do about the same.

September, October and November should all remain on par with last year. December is gonna have a steep drop off though and that's probably where 2016 loses the battle with 2015.

Probably should be noted and dismissed
