Steelbook buyers.

I am hoping for a steelbook of that and Apocalypse in Portugal but probably neither will happen :sadben: Both performed below Scorch Trials here and that didn't got a steelbook either.

So PURGE did

14.53 + 9.34 + 7.0 (-24.6%) = 30.87m

Won't hit 35m over 4-days I think.

Sunday is half off full Friday despite ID weekend helping Sunday holds.

Add to that the big ratio of previews, a multiplier of 2x (of the 3-day ow) could happen for ~62m dom.

edit: It's a huge success though with a 10m budget.

Interesting fact for Zootopia. It was its 18th weekend when its PTA was under $1000. The same was true for Frozen and TFA. The actuals for Zootopia might adjust to over $1,000, though.

Avatar, on the other hand, doesn't seem to even have a weekend with an under $1000 PTA.

Holy shit! I told you guys Tarzan may not bomb, and all those epic bomb $50m. BOM has it at $45m in 4 days. $100m+ here we come.

Thanks to it's 180m budget, it's still probably going to lose WB a lot of money.

Isn't the budget like $150m though? And that's without marketing.

But I'm not talking marketing since no one knows exactly what marketing budgets are anyway. And he has the budget is 140 million. But I'm saying the definition of a bomb is when something cost something so astronomical that the gross of it is not going to recoup their money. This is definitely going to recoup their money. And even if it doesn't it's not a bomb it's a disappointment. Bombs are completely different.

The Witches is the best Roald Dahl adaptation and that flopped too.

Guillermo del Toro has been wanting to remake it forever. I wish he'd do it already.

I used to love The Witches when I was younger even though I used to have nightmares of Anjelica Huston turing me into a mouse. Wish they stuck with the book ending though. I feel a remake would fair the same as BFG.

With $10-11 million next weekend, I don't see how Purge 3 finishes below Purge 1 or even Purge 2. That's a 60-65% drop. I don't see 70%+ when there's no real competition for the horror genre next weekend.

It's on its way to $75-80 million DOM if it follows the second film more or less.
