To be fair, the first two basically were TFA levels but for Trek.  And if you look at the originals adjusted, this series has been following them, except this one.  III adjusts to around 190 million, which if not for the competition this may have had a shot at.

Hasn't Strek 4 featuring Chris Hemsworth already been announced? Paramount will keep churning these things out until the returns diminish so much that the profits evaporate completely.

Dammit - I predicted drops for a bunch of films in yhe summer game and everyone of them dropped but by way more than I expected.... add IA to my list of bad predictions pre summer.

lol a $7M opening day for Ice Age is awful. It's going to bleed around 2/3 the audience from the previous movie, which was a notable decline from its predecessors.

Paramount probably needs to stop adding excessive action to Trek to get better grosses overseas, its only helping somewhat, At this point only adding A-list talent like a Tom Cruise may get this franchise over 300m overseas

This summer was really the summer of sequels dropping like a rock.

 

The drop from ID4 adjusted to ID4R, you don't want to know.

Horror its largely USA, Canada doesn't contribute much (compared to avg norm also similar with other OS markets)  exceptions films like Conjuring, PA, Witch did well. Have to see overall how LO performs there would say at least initally it will one of the better performing ones of recent times

Report I made for reserved seating.  I took frantic notes for a long time.  I missed many showtimes and some of the total seat counts are off.  If I keep a log of the capacity, I could be able to do this quicker in the future.  I recorded the time I took the sample.  With that info, you might estimate how full it got after I took it.  Perhaps it a showing was at 90/100 5 min before the show, you could calculate if it sells out and when….   More to come tonight.
