narniadis
You can definitely tell which films lost good chunks of theaters (poor STB and Dory is just lol) and which kept screens but got showtimes cut (Light Between etc) Overall this should be a solid weekend. Glad to see that Pete's Dragon and Kubo are hanging in there at least for another week.

Jonwo
If Sully does $35m, it will push out The Equalizer in the top five September opening although that'll be short lived if both Mag 7 and Storks do over $35m OW.

Captain Phillips opened to 25m and 2nd place because Gravity held to 43m and 1st place. And last weekend the #1 movie made <16m...so I don't get what point he is making. DAJK
So Snowden is at 30% on RT so far... ouch. But to be fair, the positives are raves, and the majority of the negatives are more mixed. I don't expect it to fall too much more, maybe 35-45% finish. Still, I'm done with predicting 10M+ for it unfortunately. 8M OW.

Maxmoser3
Very solid results for Sully! I think it has a chance to debut around $35 million this weekend! Alright result for When The Bough Breaks, not as big as the past two crazy black people thrillers released the past two years but still not a bad result. A debut between $14-$15 million doesn't seem surprising. So far September is doing ok, next up lets see how well Blair Witch/Bridget Jones/Snowden do. MrFanaticGuy34
Suicide Squad really did well enough, DOM-wise. So far, in terms of Warner Bros-films, it has topped both Harry Potter 6 & Hobbit 1 in the US. Next stop, Independence Day as the new #1 film for Will Smith, DOM-wise. I think Sully can probably leg its way to around 135-140M by the time it finishes its run. It is competition free till Deepwater Horizon (which Lionsgate seems to have forgotten they are releasing based on the complete lack of marketing efforts so far)
