What I'm saying is, HP's main fanbase (those that read the books when they were released) is now older than when the originals were released. Only 5 years, but at that age, it's a big difference (jobs, marriage, kids, etc.). That combined with FB being considerably less hyped compared to the HP series, could lead to better legs.

Not so sure about this. I was carpet bombed with FB TV advertising the last month or two and that ain't cheap. WB didn't spare any expense to make this an HP "event" movie.

The opening DOM box office suggests they didn't quite get there, and with other big family films on the way very shortly as we enter the crowded Christmas season, legs may be hard to come by. But we shall see.

They got a bit of my attention during the 2nd half... which all went away when you know what happens.

I really don't understand how you were almost falling asleep to be honest, the audience in my theater was roaring with laughter all the time. Shame.

About the second part of your post, you should check the fantastic beasts thread, if what I quoted is true I think they will bring that person back.

I know what you are talking about.

Spoiler

But he won't be a villain anyway even if he returns... I wanted him to be the main villain.

I'm pointing out the irony of a guy with a Warcraft name and avatar making fun of or putting down Fantastic Beasts.

yeah, not seeing how that is ironic. I'm not sure what you mean by "putting down", I am not criticising it as I haven't seen it. It just doesn't appeal to me.

Unless you mean that somehow because I like Warcraft, I have to mindlessly fangirl over every other semi-fantasy piece of entertainment.

I saw all of them except the 1st in cinemas, and the new one could not look more boring  I'm glad I have grown up.

Your first post implied very heavily that anyone who didn't think it looked boring hadn't "grown up" like you have. Come on, words have meaning.

Sorry if thats what you took from it, I did not mean that and have no idea that it would be taken that way.

I just mean that I'm glad my tastes have changed, because I saw a couple of the Harry Potter movies earlier this year and I thought they were rubbish, so I'm glad I no longer have the same opinions as I did when I was younger.

There is literally no other logical way you would have meant it as anything but what he (and everyone else) took it as, and ironically again you confirm that is exactly what you meant by it in the next sentence.

And once again i'm confused at how much energy some people waste in repeatedly telling their opinion about a movie they didn't like at all.

I might be repeating myself, but this mentality is making the world the crazy place it became in the last couple of months...

So should I watch Loving or Nocturnal Animals tonight?

Nocturnal Animals. Cant comment on Loving as I haven't seen it, not familiar with it, but NA is definitely something you should see. Dunno if it'll be up your street.

Haven't seen Loving yet but Nocturnal Animals is worth seeing even if I can't guarantee you'll like it (I did, but most people definitely will not).

Especially when it isn't even something they have seen yet.

Why are you continuing to harass me about my opinions? I haven't said anything bad about Fantastic Beasts, I'm not going to watch it and I'm pleased that there are people who are enjoying it. All I said was that it's not for me. Just stop.

It's the same thing in everything these days, from videogames to politics...The advent of the Internet led people to give their opinion about everything because they just can't help, they need to be seen, they need to be listened to, so hatred is a good way to be heard, sadly!
