60m for GOTGv2 Is a 59% drop .That would be The same as Civil War last year ,if so we could see a Multiplier around the same or a little bit above it.

146.5x2.3=336

146.5x2.4=351,

One of these are our outcome.

Considering AOU also dropped 59%, you can use the same logic and come up with

146.5x2.4=351

146.5x2.5=366

After arguably eight years of starts and stops through various iterations, Warner Bros. has finally opened King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, the feature adaptation of a classic IP they’ve been so desperate to make, and to disastrous box office results of $14.4M stateside at 3,702 theaters and embarrassing reviews (27% Rotten Tomatoes rating). King Arthur is expected to fall third behind Disney/Marvel’s second weekend of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 at $60M (-59% with 10-day cume of $243.1M), and 20th Century Fox/Chernin Entertainment’s R-rated Amy Schumer-Goldie Hawn movie Snatched with $16M. Warner Bros. shares some brunt of King Arthur‘s cost here with Village Roadshow who has been having a terrible streak after its co-financing on Ghostbusters, In the Heart of the Sea and Passengers.

Fun fact, both reports are on DHD at the moment... AS SEPARATE REPORTS... one talking about budgets and only King Arthur at that... while the other report is the normal weekend report which is updated gradually through the weekend as better info is at hand...

Way to go DHD to causing confusion as to what the numbers are....

the normal weekend report which is updated still holds the 16m+ for KA and 20m+ for Snatched...... save us @Rth espanola your our only hope........

This is more likely. CA3 had X-Men. P5 is going to pull less

CA3 also dealt with Angry Birds (and to a lesser extent Neighbors 2 and Nice Guys). AOU seems a better comparison, but I don't see Pirates under X-Men.

How Warner Bros.’ $175M Costly ‘King Arthur’ Fell Off Its Horse At The B.O. With A $14.4M Opening

OUCH

The main takeaway from this is that they originally wanted Colin Farrell for King Arthur. Talk about dodging a bullet. Man's already had enough leading-man-in-big-budget-flops to last a lifetime.

A bit of a difference is that AOU and CW both had significantly higher previews $27 & $25m vs $17m so their FSS drop from o/w to 2nd w/e would be less than GOTG2 projected 2nd w/e drop. GOTG2 held better over o/w but maybe it was  just a case of some of the usual preview crowd showing up a bit later in the w/e.
