Why are critics having opinions?  What’s wrong with this world when a critic can’t give a review without staying 100% neutral and giving no thoughts on the film they’re supposed to be reviewing?

Thank you for validating my point. Exactly, critics don't like YA movies. This  is their opinions. These kind of movies need  to try harder if they want to get positive reviews. Like Love, Simon did

Mine...

1st local

CR - 51/525 (that's not good for a Disney movie, although the 11pm showing with 0 seats sold is probably ill-advised)...

The Spy Who... - 17/220 (also, not great, but it's a comedy...)

The Darkest Minds - 0/120 (okay, cry now...even as a walk up, you gotta sell something)

2nd local

CR - 79/150 (better here, but they are giving it very little capacity vs a usual breakout and keeping capacity for MI6)

The Spy Who...- 13/180 (yes, you read that right - they gave this movie more capacity than CR for Thursday night - I'll try to check later to see if they were right...not great yet, though)

The Darkest Minds - 9/100 (okay, it's sold some, so you can stop the tears:)

So, nothing great...and some pretty bad...

I'll keep saying it, but those who want CR at crazy numbers like $40M+ and $50M+, presales are still not your friend...and my locals only setting 1 screen each does indicate $50M being the max possible (by my locals rule:)...

Christopher Robin starts in less than six hours and there are still no reviews. That doesn't seem like a great sign.

The embargo lift is at 10pm Eastern, 4 hours after previews started.
