I see it decreasing from the first plus the fact that maybe 20% or more of its gross won't count for 2017. What are you predicting for it?

Is that how it works?  They don't take the gross for the film after December and count it?

And of course it's going to drop, but even if it drops 20% it hits about 750.  That's more than enough, imo, to give Disney the win.

So, is Kate McKinnon now in the box office poison territory?

Ghostbusters:  CHECK

MASTERMINDS:  (I realize this didn't reallyget much of a release, but...) CHECK

Rough Night:  CHECK

Office Christmas Party:  CHECK

Might have to make her an honourary member.

People need to temper their expectations on Blade Runner's box office. The test screenings have been getting positive reception...... from a more sophisticated crowd. The film isn't GA friendly whatsoever, especially when the current cut has a runtime of 2:40. It's not like the original Blade Runner has latched onto a huge audience and become a household staple either. This appeals strictly for fans.

I'd love to see it hit 400.  As you have mentioned many times, this is really getting families out to it and on that logic, it should have a really soft drop on Sunday.

I see disney doing $1 billion to $1.15 billion more this year.

Universal and fox both at $500-700 million.

WB at $900-1100 million.

Grosses after december are not added. I don't see WB to win. For that, thor and coco should not break out and  WB films should  do good at box office with one or two breakouts.

Yup. If TLJ makes 750 M and 20% of it is made after December, BOM will only count 600 M for the year. That is if it makes 750 M. I am predicting 700 M for now and 80% of that is 560 M. It will be close, imo.

Ghostbusters did well domestically, it's the budget and the poor overseas number that did it in when it came to being profitable.

As for Rough Night, the low numbers make me inclined to believe that the premise was just too off-putting to most.

Ghostbusters didn't do well domestically.  It was fine.  But it was a franchise film with a built in audience.  And a gross of 125 on a budget of 144 is not fine.
