Deadline certainly f'ed up with SM previews and OD. But can't deny they have been accurate with both previews and other early numbers for the most part this year. That had been the consensus recently. I am glad they post early numbers.

See, I think the Tomato may run up against the sequel buzzsaw, so we'll see which one wins out:)...but I will say, all the discount ticket deals for Apes should help inflate the opening weekend higher than it would have been...whether those people get others to see it after 1st weekend should be interesting...

What's incredible is that a second /third rate superhero brand like Guardians is even on an even plane, it will make more WW than Wonder but not Spidey, with top tier brands like Wonder Woman and Spidey DOM.

Maybe point to more than one movie as an example when saying they've done "a whole lot of things" right. Fant4stic wasn't that long ago.

I think Marvel could just wait it out until 2022 then regain the rights rather than do a deal with Fox. Fox don't need the FF since they have various X-Men films in development

So? They also did Apocalypse along with Fantastic Four. And neither of those were in the distant past. Logan doesn't prove they know how to do a good Fantastic Four movie any more than Wonder Woman proves that nothing but good DC movies will be released from here on out.
