YM!
@cayommagazine Endless Animation has bought a new pitch from Taylor K Shaw (Black Women Animate, co-director of The Neighborhood) as the director with Aisha Muharrar (Parks and Recreation, The Good Place) and Kenya Barris (black-ish) on script, that's being fast tracked for Y9, said to be an offbeat comedic musical described as a bizarre mix of “Moana meets Bounty Hamster” with songs from Stephan Bray and Brenda Russell (The Color Purple). The plot is said to be centered on a re-imagining of African and Caribbean folklore, the demigod Anansi, the half-man/half-spider trickster who has lost deity status who survives on wit and outsmarting opponents.
