Can we please remove the portion of the title that pertains to pedophilia and thwart all discussion regarding this issue. As someone who knows victims and has been a victim of such a heinous act myself, I do not find it amusing. Im not trying to be a buzz kill, but I ask that you guys be respectful and sensitive to users like myself regarding this issue. I come here to discuss box office stats with others, not joke about pedophiles.

It is actually 16. It was changed from 14 a few years ago apparently, from what I could find in a quick Google search.

I can find no source for AoC being 18 in portugal. Most say 14 with court deciding whether it is a rape or not in the case of 14-16. Seem like most of the europe have same rules.

14-16 year old can have sexual relationship with anyone under 18.

Sixteen- and seventeen-year-olds can consent to sexual relations, with the exception of prostitution, porn and other sexual activities for financial gain. If there is reason to believe the minor's capacity for informed consent is lacking, or an exploitative relationship is in place, these can still be deemed illegal on a case-by-case basis.

Since we are still talking about it. I do not agree with sex with 15 year olds obviously. However my stance is if thats the law, thats there culture, thats ingrained in the brain. Then we have no reason to treat Luc any different than 40 year olds who fuck 18 year girls (which is gross no doubt, but happens ALL the time).  

 

 

 

Personally Im 24 and I think 18 is too young. Not sure how people do it. I have a sister who is 15. My rule is must be closer to me in age than my sister.

And yes, a side of me does feel like some part of the joke - if there was ever a joke - has been stretched a little too far, given the sensibility of the subject matter as a whole, no matter how much it pertains to Hollywood.

So, back on movies...

 

As of now, neither of my locals looked like it was dumb enough to book Nut Job Never Again next week...or if they have, they aren't willing to presell it, even less than 1 week out (maybe so they can drop it into the smallest theater for 1 show/day if they actually have it)...so I checked my mall's presales...they have 4 shows for Thursday, starting at 3pm...total number of tickets sold - ZERO!  For Friday sales, they have sold FOUR tickets out of 7 showings (and those 4 tickets were for the 1st show cheapo time)...

 

To say this is a bad (but probably 100% earned) sign for this movie is probably understating it...animated movies don't presell, but 4 sold tickets for 2 days when you are one of the only theaters preselling this, and for a sequel...if you think this weekend's openers are doing badly...
